Description
Holo Heal is a specialised restoration compound designed to soften the look of surface scratches and revive the original shine on holographic trading cards. Formulated specifically for smooth, glossy foil layers, it gently works into micro‑scratches and hazing to even out light scuffing without leaving a greasy film or residue when used correctly.
Used as a focused correction step after cleaning, it helps bring back factory‑fresh clarity and depth on suitable holo areas while keeping the underlying print and foil safe when applied with light pressure. Whether you are preparing a card for grading or upgrading your binder collection, Holo Heal gives you a controlled, collector‑focused way to refine the finish.
Disclaimer
We are not responsible for how you use this product or the results you get. Card maintenance involves risk, and any damage caused to your cards during use is your sole responsibility. We strongly recommend practising on low-value bulk cards to master the technique before using this tool on your main collection.
Directions for use:
Before you begin:
Use Holo Heal only on smooth, glossy holographic surfaces such as Pokémon holos, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, and glossy sports cards. Make sure the card has already been cleaned and dried before you begin.
Surfaces to avoid:
Do not use Holo Heal on textured or etched foils, matte finishes, plain paper or cardstock, inked areas, autographs, or serial numbers. Avoid cards where the holo layer is already flaking, lifted, or missing.
Preparing the applicator:
Place a very small amount of Holo Heal onto a clean foam applicator or soft pad instead of directly onto the card. Spread it into a thin, even layer so you do not overload the surface.
Treating the holo surface:
Work only on the holographic area using slow, light circular motions. Focus on the scratched area without pressing hard, and avoid raw borders, text, or non-holo sections.
Buffing and checking:
Once the area has been treated, use a clean dry microfibre cloth to buff away any visible residue. Check the card under bright light from different angles to make sure the finish looks clear.
Application limits:
Use no more than one to three light applications on the same area. If the scratch still looks deep or the foil appears missing, stop there because the damage is beyond surface level.
Pro Tips For Best Results
Visually Assess Scratch Depth: Use strong lighting to check whether the mark is truly surface-level. If foil is missing or raw cardstock is visible, Holo Heal will not repair it.
Control Your Pressure: Use very light pressure and short sessions rather than heavy rubbing. Overworking the holo surface can cloud the finish.
Protect Your Borders: Mask non-holo borders and raw paper edges with low-tack painter’s tape if needed. This helps stop product from reaching exposed cardstock.
Test First: Try the product on a low-value card with a similar finish before treating an important card. This lets you check how the surface responds.
